The Objective: Come down to the Concert In The Park on 11th of December and capture the liveliest and best moments of families having fun in the concert itself! The theme of this online photography competition will be "Celebration Of Sound". Submit the best photo(s) you have taken in the concert online and stand to win attractive prizes up to $300!
 
Send us a digital copy of the best photo you have taken in the concert between 11th December - 18th December 2011. No registration fees for submitting your entries and you get to win attractive prizes while having fun at our concert!. Hurry get your camera and snap away!

Rules and regulations:


1) This competition is open to all individuals residing in Singapore.

2) Competition period is from 11th December - 18th December 2011.

3) Each participant can submit up to a maximum of 3 entries.

4) All entries must be submitted in digital JPEG format and must not exceed 2MB in size per email submission.

5) Please retain the original size of your pictures, at least 300 dpi, which maybe needed upon selection.

6) The entries will be judged on quality and creativity of the photo.

7) Participants must provide Name, NRIC, contact details and Title of entry with each online submission.

8) Email your entries to concert@aux.com.sg to participate.

9) Result announcement and posting of the winning photo entries will be put up on www.concertinthepark.blogspot.com on 31st January 2011 and all winners will be notified through email/phone  regarding the collection of prizes.
 
10) The organisers reserve the right to use the winning works as promotional materials.

11) If submitted photo entry include persons other than the one submitting the photo, the organisers shall not be liable for any infringement of legal rights in using the photo.

Everyone favorite series of outdoor concert - NAC-ExxonMobil Concert in the Park is back again! This year, we will be celebrating our 15^th anniversary! To thank all of our faithful audience, we have line up a whole new wave of performances and fringe activities that compromise both local and overseas talents! Come down and join us as we celebrate the wonder of SOUNDS as we lead you into a unique musical sensation at Singapore Botanic Gardens!

Move to the beats and watch The Marching Band kick start the concert! This homegrown marching band first started out when they were invited to perform together as a band and never did they know that they would be able to prove their capability as a unit of creative force, producing quality music and make it big locally! Look out for Thomson Jazz Band as they enchant you with their smoothing instrumental music! Thomsom Jazz Band has been performing a wide range of music from the swing era up to the present day and they have been performing in numerous TV and festival appearance internationally! So remember to come down and watch the band play their music live!

To all the dance lovers out there! Elecoldxhot is coming to town! This Malaysian dance group will be here to showcase their internationally acclaimed hip-hop grooves! Elecoldxhot started off small but as their hunger for knowledge and different passion in dance style increase, they took classes from world famous and had since made a name for themselves in the hip-hop dance scene by winning numerous international competitions!

Experience the swinging samba and throbbing batucada as the Samba Masala is here to impress! Dance to the beats as this youth percussion band play samba music, which infuses an Asian element! The youth and vibrance this percussion group brings to the local samba scene, and the energy they exude will definitely get the crowd moving! Las but not least, sway to the rhythm of Juz B, a popular acappella group in Singapore and around the region, as they present bring to you a unique style of acappella that had won many hearts worldwide! Known for their soulful performances and on-stage antics, this award-winning group captured the hearts of Taiwanese acappella supporters in Taipei as well as China when they were invited to perform for the Asean Summit in Nanning!

Come down early and join us in the range of engaging fringe activities we have before the concert start! Look out for giant puppets roving around and take pictures with them as souvenirs! Ever wonder how do you look like in cartoon? Stop wondering and head down to our booth and get your caricature drawn! For children, do not miss out the giant inflatable we have put up for you guys! Join us and draw beautiful graphics on the beautiful pebbles provided and bring them home! Also, we will be accepting SMS dedications on that day! Watch your message to your loved one get screen on the large LED screen!

The concert features a whole new performance that comprises of both local and overseas artistes. Look out for Variasi Performing Arts as this homegrown performing group brings you a refreshing blend of comtempory and traditional Malay dances! Based on the membership, Variasi proves its capability as a unit of creative force, producing quality performances internationally!

Be captivated by the dancers from Bellydance Discovery as they bring you the latest dance fushion - Belly Bolly! Watch the swiftness and sharpness of Bollywood dance moves with the sensuality & grace of bellydancing! Don’t miss the chance to learn bellydance moves during the interaction with the dancers!

Sway to the rhythm of Pandora, an all girls Chinese Orchestra band from China, as they play the new age pop songs using the traditional Chinese instruments! The ladies come from different provinces in China and will perform smoothing music selections while dancing on stage. Watch as they reinventing the classics into modern fast paced music!

 

Last but not least, Conversa De Samba is bringing the Brazil culture here! When people mention Samba, they think of Samba carnival, party, and most importantly, happiness! Move to the music as the Conversa De Samba spread this happiness to people who like the energy and fun of Samba dances! Lets Samba!

NAC-EXXONMOBIL CONCERT IN THE PARK!

Everyone’s favorite outdoor event – NAC-ExxonMobil Concert in the Park is back! For those who have missed the previous concert, fret not! We promise more fun and excitement this time round as we celebrate PLAY! Come join us in our series of activities that will ensure you a time of fun and laughter!

The concert will feature a new wave of performances that will raise the idea of PLAY to a whole new level! OneHeartBeat Percussion will lead you to move to a joyous rhythm! This home grown band have been actively involved in international stage bringing Singapore’s unique flavour to the people of Malaysia, Korea, Ireland, Egypt, USA, Spain and Turkey!

Be amazed by Mystifying Imran, one of Singapore’s best magicians as he brings you on a roller coaster ride of magic, mystery and thrills! This celebrity magician has been featured on national television and being the first local magician that has his own television programme, his performances have captivated audiences all over the country!

Also, don’t miss Patrick Wan, a gifted ventriloquist who features in international television, as he creates a hilarious blend of comedy that will tickle your funny bone!

Last but not least, the number one children’s entertainer is here! A winning formula with kids, Jonny Juggler can fill a stage with his variety show which will definitely bring children and families clapping, cheering and rolling with laughter!

Do not miss out on the various fringe activities we have before the concert starts. Watch our balloon sculpting professionals twist and turn balloons into your favorite cartoon character. Also, be impressed by our diabolo juggling master as he snatch the limelight by performing traditional diabolo juggling. If you are lucky, you might even learn a few tricks from him!
