NAC ExxonMobil Concert in the Park Online Photo Competition

The theme this time round – Capture the most lively and best moments at the concert or of any child enjoying the great outdoors while at concert in the park and stand to win attractive prizes! Send us a digital copy between 18 - 25 May 2008. No registration fees for submitting your entries and you get to enjoy a fun trip with your family, so what are you waiting for? Happy shooting!

1st prize: $300 cash

Rules and regulations
1) This competition is open to all individuals residing in Singapore.
2) Competition period is from 18 – 25 May 2008.
3) Each participant can submit up to 3 entries.
4) All entries must be submitted in digital JPEG format and must not exceed 2MB in size per email submission.
5) Please retain the original size of your pictures, at least 300 dpi which will be needed upon selection.
6) The entries will be judged on quality and creativity of the photo.
7) Participants must provide Name, NRIC, contact details and Title of entry with each online entry.
8) Email your entries to concert@bac.com.sg to participate.
9) All winners will be notified via email/phone by 6 June 08 regarding the collection of prizes. Result announcement and posting of the winning photo entries will be put up on concertinthepark.blogspot.com/.
10) The organisers reserve the right to use the winning works as promotional materials.
11) If submitted photo entry include persons other than the one submitting the photo, the organisers shall not be liable for any infringement of legal rights of using the photo.
12) The organisers reserve the right to substitute any of the prizes with product(s) of equivalent value where necessary.
13) The organisers assume no responsibility for entries which are unable to process due to network, hardware, or other technical failures or lost e-mail entries.
14) Decisions of the organisers are final. The organisers reserve the right to reject without reasons given or not to award any prizes to any entry found to have violated any of the rules and regulations.

Bring the world of arts to your child at this NAC-ExxonMobil Concert in the Park! From kite-making workshops to “travelling round the world” in a giant 15-metre long inflatable fish to award winning dance, music and drama performances, let your imagination soar and your dreams take flight in this exciting concert!

Don’t miss out on special performances from the hit series of The Ugly Duckling & The Snow Queen by The Little Company (a division of the Singapore Repertory Theatre) and If You Give a Mouse a Cookie, a delightfully dramatised story by the Players Theatre.

The Little Company

Designed to enthrall all from ages 2 to 102, don’t miss the highly exciting segment consisting of songs from The Ugly Duckling (originally presented as part of global celebrations to mark Hans Christian Andersen’s bicentenary in 2005) and their hit musical The Snow Queen for free!

Players Theatre
The group will present If You Give A Mouse A Cookie, a delightful story based on the best selling book by Laura J. Numeroff. Incorporating strong visuals, toe-tapping songs, creative staging and wonderful puppetry, If You Give A Mouse A Cookie is one wild, imaginative, laugh inducing, roller-coaster of a ride where the end takes you right back to the beginning. An extraordinary piece of theatre for children, young people and families!

Mayflower Primary School

A 6-gold medallist winner in the biennial Singapore Youth Festival dance competition, the school’s malay dance group performs an energetic and vibrant dance number titled Desaku Permai (My Serene Village), portraying the serenity of kampong life, the joy of childhood and the versatility of the young. Followed by the cute little Qian Gu Wa Wa (Drum Dolls), whose joyful expressions bring life and energy to the dance segment. Lastly catch the Mayflower Choral as they perform My Shadow and a medley of Folk Songs

Woodgrove Primary School



Performed by specially selected 10 dancers aged 8 to 12 years, watch them dance and groove to hip hop beats from Kelis, Janet Jackson, Akon, Britney Spears, Amerie, Timbaland and Flo Rida. The team clinched Best Choreography and 3rd position in the recent Danceworks Anti-Drug Abuse Dance Competition.

Be mesmerized as the delightful 8 to 14 year old ballerinas perform for you a neo-classical item titled "sun-rise", bringing you into the magical atmosphere of 1001 nights!
