Programme Lineup:
Freekzy Nutz
Winner of North-East CDC’s Dance Xplosion’s Competition,
Freekzy Nuts will showcase their winning modern and
hip-hop dance routines.
Dance HorizonTroupe
Offering 2 dances in the contemporary Asian and
contemporary modern styles of “Metamorphosis” and
“Synergy” respectively, Dance Horizon will feature
these dances with subtle messages that speak of the
impact of an ever-changing society and of youth and
energy, vitality and movement.
Mexico Lindo Mexican Ballet
Recommended by the Mexican Embassy in Singapore,
the Mexico Lindo Mexican Ballet will showcase
dances from the two main regions in Mexico,
namely from Jalisco and Veracruz. Jalisco is a very
colourful dance and the music is traditionally played
by mariachi, and Veracruz is a region of Mexico close
to the sea where the Spanish first arrived and took Mexico.
The dances are influenced by Flamenco.
Pinoy Star Tinikling Troupe
"Tinikling" involves two people hitting bamboo
poles on the ground and against each other in coordination
with one or more dancers who step over and in between
the poles in a dance. It originated in Leyte among the
Visayan islands in central Philippines as an imitation of
the tikling bird. Pinoy Star Dance Troupe will showcase the
tinikling dance and will include an audience interactive segment.
Singapore Dance Theatre
With extracts from The Nutcracker, SDT will mesmerize
audiences with their smooth ballet moves and stage costumes.
In this enchanting fairytale ballet that is set in a joyous
Christmas eve's occasion, The Nutcracker is a light-hearted tale
of adventure and courage featuring Clara and her adventures
after she receives a beautifully-crafted nutcracker
doll from Dr Drosselmeyer.
